In 2019, the Uber Elevate Summit moved to Washington DC and transformed the Regan Center into a 2-day experience that could entertain and educate technical experts, policymakers and leaders from across the world. We also expanded the scope of the Summit to include a holistic story of Uber’s innovation - including key announcements from our other product teams. We welcomed more than 1200+ attendees to the invite-only event and supported a large contingent of national and international press & media. In addition, we hosted the opening night party at the Smithsonian Air & Space museum, and allowed guests to interact with exhibits. We both honored the rich history of aviation innovation and reinforced the exciting future of a new type of transportation. The 2019 Uber Elevate Summit included: a special Press and Policymaker preview night fireside chat and early exhibit access co-hosted with Politico, 2-days of programming across 3 stages, an immersive VR exhibit, a full scale Air Taxi model, more than 25 exhibits from vehicle partners and Uber teams, an outdoor JUMP bike community exhibit, an Uber-Eats hosted lunch (featuring local DC restaurants), an opening night party at the Air & Space museum, a closing night gathering at the Regan Center and a special VIP dinner hosted above the DC Monuments.
